Flamingo Cards

Flamingos are my mother’s favorite. Whenever I would see one at a store, I would snap a quick photo and send it to her. The last gift I gave her was flamingo-related. They remind me of her. Flamingos are beautiful, exotic, unique, rare, and feisty.

When I saw this card at the store, I instinctively picked it up to admire it. I opened it and saw the pop-up. It spoke to me. I miss her, and if I can connect to her energetically, it’s a small win to celebrate.

While checking out, the cashier mentioned seeing the card reminded her that she had to send a card to her mother.  I smiled and told her the card was for mine.

While still heartsick, it was a small moment of connection for a starving heart.
